jdm fest 2014
JDM is an acronym and stands for Japanese Domestic Market… Great, but what does that mean i hear you cry. Well it literately means “cars that are from Japan, and sold in Japan”.
Now this doesn’t narrow it down much does it!
The description above pretty much covers all cars from all Japanese manufacturers… This is where things get a little more complicated. When talking about car modification JDM cars means something slightly different. Let me explain….
There are two main types of car styling when it comes to Japanese vehicles these are called “Rice” and “JDM”.
JDM FEST 2015

Japfest 2 is back on Sunday, 16 August 2015 at the new home of Rockingham circuit for a whole day of performance Japanese action. Experience non-stop high speed track action including tyre-shredding drifting displays, a huge retail village and thousands of UK’s best Japanese cars on display.
As always, drifting will be at the heart of the show with spectacular displays and demos, drift passenger rides, and a massive drift paddock off the circuit. New for 2015, Japfest 2 will also see a Pro Round from The Maxxis British Drift Championship. With only the Super Pro drivers competing you can expect to see the very best of the country’s talent with the drivers pulling out all the stops to impress the judges to secure a win.
If the drift action isn’t enough to satisfy your appetite, there will be a full timetable of live entertainment taking place off the track including stunt shows and a huge display of club cars representing the UK’s major Japanese scene. Not forgetting all the usual features you would expect to see including public track time, show and shine, trade stands and much more. Japfest 2 is a true celebration of performance Japanese motors!
